Colorado Theological Seminary & National Christian Counselor’s Association
CTS is an online school of theology founded in 1999. It is a Bible-based, non-denominational seminary which is certified by the Council of Private Colleges of America (CPCA) instead of being accredited. It prepares students to work as pastors, chaplains, church administrators, counselors and Christian educators. CTS partners with NCCA for Christian counseling programs.

Minnesota State University, Mankato
MSU, Mankato is a public university operated by the Minnesota State Colleges and University System. It was founded in 1868 and is best known for creating new programs to meet the demand for new and developing fields. It was ranked #1 for “Hidden Gem” schools by College Gazette, February 8, 2021.

Texas A&M University, Kingsville. The oldest institute for higher education in southern Texas. Founded in 1925, it became part of the A&M system in 1989. It is known for its programs in engineering, social science and agriculture.

Hutchinson High School
Hutchinson, Minnesota is located in a rural area about 70 miles west of Minneapolis and St. Paul. It is the center of commerce for an area economy dominated by agriculture and dairy farms.
General Education Development. Shane passed his GED test before the rest of his class graduated. This allowed him to return and complete his Army training as a member of the Minnesota National Guard. After completion he returned and started college in the Fall.
Burien Seventh-day Adventist Elem. School
Burien, Washington is a suburb of Seattle, just north of the Sea-Tac Airport. Shane attended the school from grades 4-8. Prior to this he attended the Seventh-day Adventist school in Durand, Wisconsin and a public school in Elmwood, Wisconsin.
U.S. Army – Minnesota National Guard
Shane joined the Army National Guard while still in high school and went to basic training between his junior and senior year. Shane was trained as a crane operator and assigned to a bridge building unit. Shane volunteered for an active duty tour in Panama shortly after Operation Just Cause. During that tour of duty, he was deep in the interior jungle in Panama.
